Northumberland Learning Connection is presenting a program on the Canadian Arctic from March 30th to May 5th.  Of particular interest for gardeners are two sessions:

April 20:  Dawn Bazely of York University's Department of Biology is presenting a talk entitled "Arctic Plants and People".  The evening starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Columbus Community Centre, 232 Spencer St. E., Cobourg.

April 21:  A two-hour discussion seesion is being held at the Port Hope Public Library, 31 Queen St., Port Hope.  The session starts at 9:00 a.m. and the topic is "Hardy Survivors:  Tundra Vegetation and the Diverse Habits in Canada's Polar Regions".
