Spring is just around the corner and with it comes a whole new gardening season.

These Heirloom tomatoes are in the Village of Colborne and are grown as a hobby. This year between 20 and 30 varieties are offered but all in limited quantities.

Last year, the popular varieties sold out early, so act quickly. Pricing is very reasonable at $3.00/plant.

Garden Visit

Plants are hard to identify, which makes them hard to find. Plantola solves this problem by letting you see plants being grown by other gardeners, and details like where they were purchased. See something you like? Plantola makes it easy to share that interest with friends and local retailers. Take pictures of plants and post them to Plantola. Share those pictures by email, or post them to Twitter or Facebook.

poppiesA Wonderful Idea (One of our members came up with this concept).

July 28, 1914 marks the start of World War I

Our member started a  campaign, which has now turned into a national campaign. She asked each town to plant 100 red poppies to mark the centenary.

A lovely time was had on a perfect Sunday afternoon at M. Castleton’s wonderful property. Some pictures to bring back memories and a smile.
